It's pretty hard to pursue career as a scientist or engineer if you can't seem to find something you'd love doing. This seminar brings together inspiring stories of how we change our daily experiences to achieve some of the most important breakthroughs in science and technology. The topics will include: “What determines success?”  “How can we excel in science and technology?”, “Where does passion come from?” and “How US research institutes select future scientists and engineers?”

报告人简介：

蒋红涛博士，加州理工学院及美国宇航局（NASA）喷气推进实验室工程与科学部首席科学家，气溶胶和云研究组主管，美国《地球与空间科学》期刊主编，他的研究领域包括地球卫星遥感的研究与应用，主要关注污染传输、气溶胶、云、水蒸气及气候影响。蒋红涛博士已发表173篇论文，2010年和2013年两次获美国宇航局杰出贡献勋章，并在2019年获得爱德华斯登优秀科研成果奖，及美国宇航局2019年度杰出科学成就勋章。
